Assignment Night!

Steven and I have been praying for this night since I can remember. We have asked God to work and direct us in the direction He has planned for us. We have asked Him to bring us peace and comfort in what ever His plan may be for us. He did. Steven was assigned C-17's to Charleston Air Force Base in South Carolina. We could not be more excited to hear the news. We do not know dates yet of when we'll be going or any details of training (hopefully soon). We ask that you continue to pray for us both as we start getting ready for this next transition in our journey.

Simmons' R&R

Another family trip to the beach for the Simmons' family... we had a wonderful time & so thankful that we all were able to go for an entire week. Of course, time flew by, and it felt like we were on our way home before we knew it. Needless to say it was definitely some nice R&R... another week of what I call beautiful chaos :)

Steven and I took our engagement photos in June, and we could not be more pleased with the results! Our photographer was Sunny Jones, and she will be doing our wedding also. She is amazing! She made us feel completely confortable, and there is a true art to what she does. Here are a few pictures from the exciting day. Thank you Sunny for making this wonderful experience so enjoyable for us!

Thirty? Bring it on!

Here's to 30!! We pulled it off folks- we surprised Leah for her 30th Birthday! Her sister, Kristen, was the mastermind behind the scenes, and she did a wonderful job. For those of you who know Leah know that she has the kindest heart in the world, and she is one of the most deserving women I've ever known. She is an encourager, a leader, and a faithful servant to our God. She is a loving wife, caring sister, thankful daughter,  an amazing mother, and a faithful friend. We all love her and thank God for her! Happy Birthday sweet Leah!
