July 2013 - 1st Deployment & Family Fun!

The day before Steven deployed we decided to take a special day to ourselves. I surprised Steven with a special date to Cypress Gardens just north of Charleston. You may recognize the scenery as the scene from The Notebook! Of course, the scene in the movie had a lot of ducks swimming in this swamp :) It was a perfect day for us too also... just with alligators instead! 

Steven's first deployment: It was a very sad day for me. I missed him the moment he left my sight. Luckily, I was fortunate to spend of the deployment at home in Alabama with family. Being with the kiddos made time fly by. So thankful that this first deployment came & went quickly. Love this man to the moon and back! And so thankful for his service to this country.
