Carnival Parties, Flying, Festivals, and Pumpkins...

I love October! October starts the beginning of the holidays, and Halloween is one of my favorites! We started off the month with some quality family time with the kiddos :)

My Mom & Dad have not been to a Alabama football game in over 15 years! After searching for tickets for what seems like forever Steven & I found perfect seats for them on the 40 yard line/lower level! They had a wonderful time, and we are just so thankful for a beautiful homecoming weekend! Roll Tide Roll!

Lucy turns 2!! It is always exciting to see what Brooke & Josh think up for Lucy's birthday parties. This year they decided on the carnival party, and boy was it one heck of a party!! They had carnival games, food, and prizes. I cannot believe that Lucy is already 2! She has grown so much in the past year, and I am so blessed to be her "TaTa." She is a little fire ball and always on the move. She definitely keeps Brooke & Josh on their toes. It is amazing to watch God's creation grow just as Lucy has... what a "miracle baby" she has truly become!

Just shortly after her birthday party Lucy was reaching for her birthday balloons and fell from the couch :( This is her & Daddy at the hospital.... with a broken arm. Did I mention what a little tornado she is?

STEVEN'S SOLO FLIGHT... let me start off by saying that this was the most exciting yet scariest thing that I have witnessed during our relationship. Steven had his big solo flight, and I was invited to come watch! I got to sit in the flight room with the rest of his flight while they introduced me to a few "AF things" explaining to me how things work and what their schedule was like during the typical day. It was great to finally understand a few things the guys ALWAYS talk about but I have NO CLUE what about. Then a couple of the guys led me outside where I got to see Steven fly all on his own! I was able to listen to him on the radio, see him touch-and-go a few times, and land. It was crazy and so exciting! I am so proud of him and this accomplishment!

SOLO TRADITION... the water tank!

Pumpkin Patch Here We Come! On the 22nd of October we loaded up all the kiddos and headed towards Old Baker's Farm (worth every penny). The kids had a great time petting animals, picking pumpkins, riding horses, and watching the Indians dance. It was a great day, and I am so thankful for wonderful family moments such as this :)

ADDY TURNS 5!! I still remember the day my brother called me to tell me that he & Emily were having Addy. I was on the Shelton State softball bus heading home from an away game. We had lost the game, but I couldn't be happier to hear the good news! Now 5 years later Addy is so grown up. It is so hard to believe that she will be starting Kindergarten next year! I am so proud of her, and I love her so much.

HALLOWEEN WEEKEND! Bella decided to be a moo-cow and went trick-or-treating at Cole's house. She was so excited to get a milk bone. Addy was a beautiful princess, Cole was Captain Hook, and Lucy was a sweet little cupcake (Pictures to come)! It was a great weekend, and so happy that Steven was able to spend so much time in the month of October here with the family. It is such a blessing every time he is able to come over for the weekend... I am so thankful for those moments.

Samson & Tucker love Halloween too!
